This week we are celebrating CBCA Book Week at Woodend! This year’s magical theme is “Symphony of Stories”. Throughout the week, we will explore how unique stories, voices and colourful characters come together to create a beautiful orchestra of storytelling.
Small Box Construction Challenge
As part of our Book Week celebrations, the Library is running a Small Box Construction Challenge! Students are invited to design and create a musical instrument using a box no larger than a shoebox, inspired by this year’s theme.
Once their creations are complete, students can bring them to the Library by the end of Week 9. Judging will take place during Week 10.
We can’t wait to see the wonderful instruments our students create!
The Celebrations Continue
Other celebrations across our school include visits from authors Kate Cypress and Cate Ellis, along with a creative writing challenge taking place across classes.
