This year, our Year 6 students thoughtfully considered how they could leave a meaningful legacy for the school community—something practical, long-lasting and reflective of their journey through primary school. After discussing a range of ideas and voting as a cohort, they chose a gift that truly embodies their sense of care, community and forward-thinking.
The students have purchased two new benches that will soon be installed on the oval. Their decision came from recognising how valuable extra seating would be for everyone—whether it’s students taking a quiet moment during recess, families watching weekend sports, or friends simply enjoying a relaxed chat in the sunshine. By choosing something both useful and inclusive, our Year 6s have created a memento that will support and bring comfort to students for many years to come.
Their contribution not only enhances our school grounds but also highlights the empathy, leadership and consideration they have developed throughout their primary years. What a wonderful way to leave their mark.
