The year 5/6 Boys Cricket team competed in round 1 of the Statewide Schools Sapsasa Cricket competition yesterday at St Martins De Porres. The team played 2 games throughout the day and came up against 2 strong oppositions.

Game 1 vs Flagstaff Hill

Woodend batted first and made 5/58. Levi top scoring with 18 not out. Flagstaff batted well and finished 0/72.

Game 2 vs St Martins De Porres

Woodend bowled first in this game and improved as a team which was great to see. Congratulations to Evan who took 2 amazing catches and hit his first ever boundary which was great to see. St Martins finished their batting innings on 5/115. Woodend improved with the bat and were able to score 8/73. Levi finishing with the top score of 13.
