The Woodend girls displayed fantastic spirit and determination during their three AFL games yesterday at Westminster in Round 1 of the Statewide Schools Competition. They started on a high with a win against Westminster before narrowly falling short against Woodcroft College. In game 3 the girls came up against an experienced and talented All Saints team, the girls kept running, tackling and giving it their best for the entire game.

For many of the girls, this was their very first AFL match and the whole team brought incredible energy and enthusiasm to the field, embracing every contest with courage and commitment.

Whether it was laying strong tackles, chasing hard for the ball, or simply putting in their best effort, every player made a valuable contribution.
