On Monday, 16th June, the Woodend SAPSASA soccer team played their first round of three matches at South Adelaide Panthers Soccer Club.

In the opening match, the team faced off against Reynella and secured a hard-fought victory with a 2-0 win, the game was marked by strong teamwork, solid defence and excellent scoring opportunities.

Our team faced a challenging second match against St Martin de Porres and unfortunately lost 4-0. Despite the score, the game showcased our teamโ€™s determination and resilience as our players showed significant improvements, especially in the second half. Our goalkeepers made several impressive saves.

In the final match, our team battled a 2-2 draw against Woodcroft College in an exciting intense game from start to finish, with both teams exchanging goals and ending with a well-earned draw.

We are very proud of our Woodend soccer boys for their strong performances, teamwork, and resilience across all three matches. They showed great determination and improvements in each game.

Thank you to the parents who helped with transport and supported the team through the cold and rainy conditions.

Thanks,
Miss K.
