Dear Parents, Families and Community Members,
You are warmly invited to join us for our Remembrance Day Assembly as we come together to honour those who have served our country.
Date: Tuesday 11 November 2025
Arrival Time: Please arrive before 10:35 am
Location: Under the COLA (covered outdoor learning area next to the Gym)
Classes will be gathering from 10:35 am, and we are aiming for a prompt 10:50 am start.
Students will be seated in rows on the COLA floor facing the flagpoles.
Parents to stand at the back of the assembled children.
Our students will lead the service, featuring performances of “In Flanders Fields” and “I Am Australian.” The Last Post and Rouse will be played, followed by a minute’s silence held as close to 11:00 am as possible. A wreath will be laid by Molly, Kimarni, and Ariella in remembrance.
To conclude the ceremony, both the New Zealand and Australian National Anthems will be sung by our Senior Choir.
We hope you can join us in this important commemoration of remembrance, respect, and reflection.
Warm regards,
Steve Freeman
Principal, Woodend Primary School
