Congratulations to the Woodend girls who played in the Statewide Schools AFL finals today at Barratt Reserve, West Beach.
The girls played their semi final against a talented Grange team. The girls battled hard throughout the game and improved their work rate each quarter.

In the second game the girls played off in the 3rd place playoff against Algate. The team were able to start the game much better and kick consistent goals throughout the game. Indie E and Jess S finished with 3 goals each.

Woodend have finished 3rd from all of the girls team across the State which is Woodend’s highest ever finish in girls AFL. A great achievement and well done to all of the girls who played this year. A big thank you to old scholar Shae who has coached the team throughout their 5 games this year.
