What a fantastic day at the Southern Valley Cross Country! πββοΈβοΈ
Congratulations to the 51 students who proudly represented Woodend. With beautiful sunshine and a challenging course at Thalassa Park, it was a great day for Cross Country running. For many students, this was their first competition, and it was wonderful to see the strong encouragement and support they showed each other throughout the day.
Every student gave their absolute best effort in their races, contributing to some outstanding individual and team performances. Woodend achieved an impressive 2nd place in the large schools competition, an excellent result.
Weβre also proud to announce that several students have qualified to represent Southern Valley at the Oakbank Racecourse in Week 6:

β’ Paige M β 3rd (10-year-old girls)
β’ Lenny T β 1st (11-year-old boys)
A special mention to Charlie E (3rd) and Marley T (1st), who both earned medals in the 2017 girls and boys races and will have the opportunity for district selection next year, well done,
