Woodend played in round 1 of the Statewide AFL Competition today at the Colonel Light Gardens Football Club. The team played two games against Colonel Light Gardens and Highgate.

In both games the Woodend team gave it their best effort and worked hard against strong opposition. Unfortunately the boys lost both of their games and this means they are out of the competition.
