Woodend AFL
Congratulations to the Year 5/6 girls and boys who proudly represented Woodend in Round 1 of the Statewide AFL competition today at Westminster. Both teams played two games against St Peters Woodlands and Westminster, and it was fantastic to see the players encouraging and cheering each other on throughout the day.

The girls team featured many girls playing AFL for the first time, and they all did an excellent job. The girls showed great enthusiasm, encouragement and teamwork, and played strongly in both matches.

The boys team also performed extremely well, working together effectively to win both of their games and progress through to Round 2 of the competition.

A big thank you to Miss K, work experience student Eli, and university student Sam for their efforts in training and coaching the teams in preparation for the event.
