Families are invited to visit our garden this coming Wednesday, the 28th of May.
Our Aboriginal learners have been collaborating with Dylan, our garden specialist, on a community art project that celebrates the Dreaming story of the Rainbow Serpent. This Dreaming is significant to many Aboriginal language groups and communities, as it tells the story of the creation of the land, waters, and life.
Our Aboriginal learners warmly invite our community to participate in this project by adding their mark to the painting at the end of the Native Edible Garden.
To participate, simply choose your colour, use your finger to make your mark, and then wash your hands in the bucket provided nearby.
While you are there, take part in the Nature Trail, using your senses to notice, wonder, and connect with our beautiful garden space.
Along with learning and activities in classrooms throughout the week, we will also have a special Reconciliation Week assembly on Wednesday, hosted by Rooms 15 and 16.
