Celebrating Our Amazing SSOs for SSO Week The role of a School Services Officer (SSO) is constantly evolving.
When Woodend Primary School first opened 30 years ago, SSOs primarily supported with administration tasks – photocopying, preparing resources and assisting teachers.
Fast forward to today, and our SSOs are true specialists across many areas of school life. At WPS we are fortunate to have SSOs working in administration, finance, ICT, student support, intervention, grounds, garden, and library.
This passionate, proactive and positive team is the backbone of our school. With their “can do” attitude and diverse skills, they make a difference for our students, staff and wider community every single day.
