Congratulations to the Woodend students who participated in the Statewide Schools Basketball competition at the State Basketball Centre on Thursday 14th August.

A big thank you to Sienna who stepped into the team on the morning of the competition to help the girls out as their team was left short due to injury and illness. Lots of the girls were experiencing their first Basketball competition and they improved with every game. I was very proud of how the girls kept a positive attitude and kept trying their best.

The boys team played well as a team and had some great results throughout the day. They started with 4 wins from their first 4 games and went down to Stella Maris and Linden Park in their final two games of the day.

Thank you to the parents for transporting, scoring and supporting both teams throughout the day.
