It has been reported by a student, who observed, that yesterday at 3:30 pm two students were approached by the driver of a white van and asked if they wanted a lift. They declined and the vehicle drove off. The students were walking near Southbank Blvd and Woodend Rd. The man is describe as between 40-50 with a close cropped goatie. Police have been informed and have not had any similar reports.
It is quite possible there was nothing sinister in this, however, it is a good reminder that we need to be reminding children of protective practices.
