We ask that our community please take note of the following important reminders when using the roads around our school:
- Do not stand in driveways at any time. This includes the entrance to the staff carpark and the residential driveways either side of the crossing. Stopping in these areas significantly impacts access and can obstruct the line of sight of our crossing monitors, making it more difficult for them to make safe decisions. If you need to drop your child off on the opposite side of Edward Beck Drive from the Kiss & Go, please use a legal and available parking space.
- Please do not block access to the start of the Kiss & Go. If there is no room to safely enter the Kiss & Go, please continue around the block rather than stopping and waiting across the entrance.
- Please do not queue along the length of the crossing and fence. Queuing in this area can encourage unsafe road use, including vehicles overtaking the queue. This creates a significant risk to our students, families and wider community.
We ask that you please consider the safety of our children and our wider community and make safe and considerate decisions when using the roads around the school. A few extra minutes or a short trip around the block can make a significant difference to everyone’s safety.
If you see unsafe behaviour, we encourage you to report it to the appropriate authority:
- Marion Council for parking offences.
- SAPOL for speeding or other dangerous road use.
Thank you for helping us keep our students, families and community safe.
