This year, the Student Representative Council is working on ways to help our school learn more about the importance of sleep. In one of our recent meetings we heard from a sleep specialist and discussed tips for getting better sleep. We’ve decided to raise awareness about sleep because it has a huge impact on learning at school and even everyday activities.

On Friday, 29th November, we will be having a Pyjama Day! Students can dress up in their pyjamas for the day with a gold coin donation. Please remember that pyjamas must be sun safe and you need to wear your school shoes.

Did you know that the potassium in bananas can help you get to sleep?

It’s also helpful to create a consistent bedtime routine. By following the same routine each night, your body will recognise it’s time for bed and prepare itself for sleep.

This year, the SRC has decided that all money raised from Pyjama Day will go towards the new playground we’re working on. Not only will the funds support this exciting project, but the day will also help spread awareness about how important sleep is.

Thank you to Jacqui and Chloe for making this great poster. Please look out for the other amazing posters created by our SRC members displayed around the school —thank you for your hard work.

We’re so excited for Pyjama Day and know it will be a fantastic event!
