Yesterday, Sunday 18th June, fourteen of our students rode our new “KAPOW” Pedal Prix car around Victoria Park racecourse. The car looked very modern with it’s new signage!. This was the second race for this year and the team got off to a good start! For some of these riders, it was only their second time riding and so not only did they have to learn how to ride but also maintain the stamina to complete one or more laps and to improve on their times.
We are very proud of all the riders who did their personal best and did their best for their Pedal Prix team. Congratulations to: Elijah, Lillie, Harry, Hogan, Bella, Ollie, Toby, Max, Xavier, Levi, Jacob, Dylan, Mackenzie and Flynn!
Special thank you to the coordinators, Kerry and Kyle with managing the whole day, particularly for organising the car, marquees, riding rosters and change-overs throughout the day.
We also thank the Woodend community for supporting Pedal Prix by participating in the Pyjama Day fundraiser last Friday 16/6. We were able to put another $880.00 towards the payment of the new car and accessories. This has been so helpful.
Our next race takes place in Tailem Bend on Saturday 5th August.
