Are you wondering how and where to get involved at Woodend?
You are invited to join our Parent Network!
Parent Network is a committee of parents & carers – our aim is to support parents, support the school, and build a strong WPS community. We like to have at least one Parent Representative from each class, but we welcome as many as would like to join!
Parent Network volunteers run a number of events, activities, and initiatives here at Woodend
– Mother’s & Father’s Day Gift Stalls
– Community Events such as Market Days, Movie Night
– Fundraising activities
– the WPS Parents Connect Group & the WPS Buy Sell group
– Supporting classroom parents & teachers
…and you may have fresh ideas for our Parent Network too!
All parents & carers are welcome to join! This year we will meet on the last Friday of each month – at 9am in the staff room – we meet with the school principal, plan for future events/initiatives, and share ideas and feedback. We also have an online committee group for members to connect outside of meeting time.

You do NOT have to volunteer for ALL THE THINGS or come to all of the meetings! But if you can help out with at least ONE thing and bring your voice & ideas & support to the table to represent the parents of our community, we would be grateful to have you on board!
Other Committees & Volunteer Opportunities:
An invitation will be posted in the coming weeks to join school committees: OSHC, healthy eating, sport, grounds, and governing council. Please stay tuned for that!
