Earlier in the year, we sought input for the development of our oval space to incorporate active areas that meet the needs of our students, as well as families who use the oval after school and on weekends.

There was overwhelming interest in installing an active circuit or ‘ninja course’, along with a hard surface area for practising shooting netball and basketball goals, and a space where younger children can play during after-school sports and playtimes. Governing Council has approved the progression of these works.

We are pleased to share the following concept, which incorporates these three elements into the southern side of the oval boundary near the shelter shed.

If you have any feedback or ideas, please complete the feedback form by Friday 22 November. Parents/caregivers, students, staff, and community members are encouraged to complete the form.

Following the feedback period, we will review any suggestions, finalise the design, and begin preparing for installation. Updates will be shared with the community once timelines are confirmed.

The concept includes the following key elements:

  • Concrete slab (10m x 8m) with non-slip trowel finish, netball ring, and basketball ring

  • Active play course (ninja-style circuit for physical challenge and fun)

  • SturdiFlex play structure designed for younger children

*Colours for the play areas are yet to be decided, and community input is welcome.
