In week 5 our school will celebrate National Science Week with a program of activities offered by our Design/Technology, Kitchen and Garden Specialists. These sessions are an opportunity for our school to explore themes relating to food sustainability, showcasing some of the ways that students, classes and families can make a difference.
Younger students will explore sustainable gardening, creating small worlds in our wonderful Garden space. Middle and upper primary students will be investigating the impact of their lunchbox on our immediate and wider community and finding waste-saving solutions that they can implement.
We look forward to a week of small world gardening, worm farming, cooking and creating as we explore food sustainability in our Woodend Primary School community.
STEAM Week is still planned to take place in week 1 of term 4.
