Buzzing with creativity!
You may have seen this fence as you come up from the Woodend Children’s Centre. The year 6 students have made this fence a lot more colourful now with their memento for 2023.
During garden lessons at the start of the year, the 5/6 classes worked with Dylan learning about pollinators. Some students came up with the idea of adding on some art to it as part of this year’s project.
Led by Mrs. Coster on Thursday afternoons during term 3 and 4, our year 6 artists began the process ready to transform the garden into a vibrant gallery of butterflies, birds, dragonflies, and bees!
Each piece, infused with personal touches and vibrant patterns, reflects the unique creativity of its maker. They painted both sides so that when you are in the garden you get to enjoy a whole new set of artworks.
Take a moment to wander past this transformed garden fence – it’s sure to spark your imagination and brighten your day! I wonder if you will notice a new design or detail every time you walk past it? There are many small and bold details to be admired.
From budding brushstrokes to blossoming masterpieces, we couldn’t have done it without you, Mrs. Coster! Thank you for teaching us new skills and for helping us create a memento that will be admired for many years to come.
