At the JLTASA (Japanese Language Teachers Association South Australia) Annual Conference, we had a display area to acknowledge our students effort and passion about their Japanese learning. The theme each year is different, and for this year it was “Hands on Japan” to create a manga drawing related to the student’s character being in Japan or doing a Japanese cultural activity. Two Year 5 students produced beautiful manga art, and they received a huge acknowledgement from Japanese teachers from South Australia. The stickers at the bottom of their art are from those teachers who loved these student creations at the conference. I was certainly very proud to see so many stickers on these students’ art at the conference at the end of the day!
