Kitchen Garden Working Bees … Volunteers Needed Throughout Next Week

Screen Shot 2016-03-21 at 4.20.09 pmNext week we are  planning a big  blitz in our Kitchen Garden… we are asking anyone who would  like to  make a difference in the garden to come along and spend as much (or as little time) as you can spare to get it back into shape.

From next week there will be NO Garden Lessons  for the remainder  of the term.   Year 3-5 classes will also come  to the garden to do their bit.     Please let your child’s class teacher  know  when you can help, whether it’s with the class  or not.   We  know we have  passionate gardeners and  we would  like to hear some of your ideas for the garden, while we work on getting it back into a more easily maintained mode.

During sports day  this  week, our groundsman, Ken, will start poisoning some of the worst weedy sections in preparation for next week. He will be allocating significant time during next week to work in the garden.

Senior students who will be lunch time garden custodians, from next term, will also be working in the garden at  lunch times for the next few weeks.

Together we can get this space looking amazing, so we can then make the most out of our next plantings.
