Is your child interested in learning guitar, drums, violin or piano in 2026?

These instrumental lessons are offered by private providers at a weekly cost and take place during school hours. Payments and communication regarding lessons are managed directly between parents/caregivers and the lesson provider.

Lessons during school hours are offered to students from year 3 to year 6. In consultation with parents and teachers, some providers may offer lessons to younger students outside of class times, eg before school and at recess and lunch time. Please speak with your child’s teacher to determine if this option is suitable.

Students who participate in weekly music lessons are invited to perform at ArtBeat, our annual Arts showcase evening held in Term 4. You can view ArtBeat 2025 here.

Piano and Guitar

Daniel will be offering weekly instrumental music lessons in piano/keyboard, guitar, bass guitar, and recorder. Your child will learn to read music, typically working on two pieces each week from a variety of genres. Lessons cover music theory, music technology, and improvisation, helping students understand how music works. All lessons are tailored to each student’s individual abilities and interests.

Students will also have the opportunity to perform in the end-of-year ArtBeat concert.

Daniel holds a degree in Popular Music & Creative Technologies, having achieved distinctions in all subjects. He has played in many high-profile Adelaide bands and was a finalist in the Australian Songwriters Competition. Daniel has also mentored students for music scholarships at Scotch and Woodcroft Colleges and taught music at School of the Air.

Daniel’s teaching philosophy is to make learning music fun and creative, providing students with life-long skills in cognitive, personal, and social development.
