“I Don’t Feel Well”

by | Feb 15, 2021

Student’s coming to school unwell

We are currently experiencing a mixture of illnesses at school. There’s have been cold symptoms and upset tummy’s including vomiting.

Please, if your child presents to you “I don’t feel well” they need to stay home. In the meantime, we will continue to ask that you keep your child home if they show any symptoms no matter how mild.

If children do come to school with symptoms, then we will contact parents to take them home and allow to fully recover. We noticed last year by doing this we had significant decrease in the number of students who have become ill from their classmates illnesses.

Preventing illness

Personal hygiene and the hygiene standards in our schools are critical to reducing the risk of infection.

All children and staff are encouraged to:

  • Wash their hands, particularly after using the toilet and before eating
  • Avoid spreading infections to others by staying home if they are unwell
  • Avoid spreading infections to others by staying home if they are unwell
  • Cover a cough or sneeze with a tissue or sneeze into your elbow

Stay home if you’re unwell to avoid making others sick.
