Our teachers have been busy establishing the relationships and routines that will set your child’s class up for success in 2025!

An important part of the school routine is how families choose to drop off and pick up each day. To support you in establishing the best drop-off and pick-up routines for your family, and to ensure all children are supervised before and after school, we wish to clarify some information about entering the schoolyard and buildings during these times.

We hope this information will help make mornings and afternoons as smooth as possible for your family.

Before School:

The school grounds are supervised from 8:30am. If you or your child needs to pass through a hallway to get to a different part of the school or put their bag away, they may do so quickly. Teachers use this time for important preparation and will not be available unless a meeting has been prearranged. Please do not enter classrooms or wait in hallways during this time.

Students on-site before 8:30am will be asked to wait at the office, as there are no teachers on duty prior to this time.

Classrooms open at 8:40am each morning. Once the teacher has opened the door, students may enter and begin organising themselves for the day. These routines will vary between classes and may include children being asked to play outside if their teacher has morning yard duty or a meeting.

Before school, the back half of the oval and the castle/tree climbing areas are out of bounds.

For families accessing the school via the Young Street entrance, please note that this gate is locked at 9:00am. Entry or exit after this time is via the OSHC or Basketball Court gates.

After School:

At 3:00pm, the Young Street gate is unlocked, and families may wait in the garden area.

If waiting on school grounds prior to pickup, please remain outside the buildings and hallways until the bell rings at 3:05pm to ensure a safe learning environment and avoid disruptions to learning.

The crossings and Kiss & Go area are supervised until 3:20pm. At this point, the gates on Young Street and the Basketball Court are locked. Entry or exit after this time is via the OSHC gate adjacent to the Library and Hall building.

Students who have not been collected by this time will accompany the teacher on duty to the office and contact their parent or caregiver.
