This semester, with support from Governing Council, a committee was formed to establish a formal review process for our school Dress Code. A school Dress Code is the documented standards of what is acceptable in relation to the clothing worn by students while attending school and extra-curricular school activities. The Dress Code describes what constitutes the ‘school uniform’ for our school.
One requirement of the review process and outlined in the Education and Children’s Services Regulations 2020, is to consult with the school community so that staff, students and parents/carers can offer their ideas and suggestions during the review. The opportunity to do this has been available since the 9th September 2020 and must be for a period of three months.
This blog post is to inform you that this consultation period is due to close on 9th December 2020. If you do have any further feedback about the draft Dress Code Policy (attached), please put in writing and provide this to the school or Governing Council via email.
Following the close of the consultation period on 9/12/20 we will keep you informed of the next stage of the Dress Code review process.
