Would your child be interested in playing Cricket for our school this year?

Cricket season starts soon!

It will commence in Week 3 of Term 1 and if your child is wanting to play, it is now time to register your child’s interest! You can do this by phoning the school on (08) 8322 6422 and letting our front office staff know.
If you can, please volunteer to assist in a coaching role because without parent/carer volunteers, the teams cannot play. This role largely involves ensuring players rotate evenly through batting, bowling and fielding and no technical knowledge is required.
Game times:
• Year 2 and 3 cricket is played at Marion Oval on Saturday mornings at 8:30am (1- hour matches)
• Year 4 cricket is played on Saturday mornings at 8:30am at both Woodend and other local schools
in a home and away fixture (2-hour matches)
• Year 5/6 cricket is played on Saturday mornings at 8:30am at both Woodend and other local
schools in a home and away fixture (2-hour matches)
Equipment:
• No equipment required for Year 2 and 3 cricket as it is set up and provided by SACA each week.
• Year 4,5 and 6 teams will have a team bag of equipment to use if any student’s need it.
Costs:
• Year 2 and 3 Cricket is approximately $35
• Year 4,5 and 6 is approximately $50

Uniform:
Year 2,3 and 4 students play in their school uniform and Year 5/6 students play in white cricket pants and a white collared cricket shirt.
Please register your child’s interest by, no later than, Monday 9th February 2026. Once a team/s has been formed you will be invoiced and you can pay via Qkr.
