Thank you to everyone who supported our World Environment Day celebrations today.
Our yard is visibly cleaner thanks to the efforts of families who helped reduce the amount of single-use packaging brought to school. Thank you for supporting your child to make environmentally conscious choices.
Our garden spaces have also benefited from the many helping hands that spent time raking, trimming, weeding and tidying throughout the day.
Members of the leadership team had the pleasure of sharing Dr Seuss’ The Lorax with our Early Years classes. Together, we explored themes of human impact, conservation, and the difference each of us can make when we care for our environment.
Room 4 students were given the special responsibility of selecting a location for our new tree on the oval and recording messages about how we can protect and care for it as it grows. At lunchtime, a wonderful group of student volunteers joined us to plant the tree, helping to create a lasting reminder of our commitment to caring for our environment.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to making the day such a meaningful celebration of our shared responsibility to look after the world around us.
