Building Better Schools – Woodend Primary School – $5 million

by | Oct 30, 2017

I’m pleased to advise that in a significant move by the Government today, that Woodend Primary School has been allocated $5 million to revitalise our school infrastructure and provide state-of-the-art spaces for innovative learning.

This decision is part of the largest ever state government investment in school infrastructure. In total, more than $690 million will be invested upgrading 91 public schools under the Building Better Schools program, and we are fortunate to be one of them.

Refurbishment of existing spaces, replacement of transportable buildings and development of dedicated infrastructure will be a part of the outcome.  In the coming weeks, I will be able to share further information about the process and timetable for this work to happen.

The time line has been set at 6 years to acquit the $690 million in funding. In due course we will find what our own timeline will be.
