Last Thursday 6th March, our Year 5/6 boys team hosted Tatachilla Lutheran College in SAPSASA Cricket Round 1.

Woodend won the toss and fielded first. Our team had a good start with an early wicket by Harry and a spectacular boundary catch from Tazzie. We fielded hard through gale winds and bowled 4 wickets to conclude the first innings. Unfortunately, Tatachilla out batted us on the day, scoring high with 123 runs. We are very proud of our Woodend boys as they fought hard all the way to the final ball, never dropping their spirts and held their heads high. Well done to: Isaac, Jackson, Kieran, Jude, Fletcher, Hudson, Logan, Tazman, Harry, Archie and Evan!
