As the UV index is now reaching 3 or above on some days, this is a friendly reminder that students are required to wear an approved Woodend Primary School hat whenever they are participating in outdoor activities.

In line with our Dress Code, all students are required to wear an unaltered Woodend Primary School hat purchased through the school uniform shop.

Our staff regularly check the daily UV index in classrooms to determine when hats are required. Families can also check the daily UV forecast using the Bureau of Meteorology UV forecast for Noarlunga Centre. When the UV index reaches 3 or above, hats are required as part of our Sun Protection practices.

If your child needs a new hat, they can be purchased through Qkr! and delivered directly to their classroom, or over the counter at the school office.
