This morning, we witnessed a truly inspiring example of our school values in action.

Following last night’s Christmas event, our school oval was covered in litter. As we considered how best to tackle the clean-up, one of our Year 6 students, Isaac, arrived at school on his bike. Without hesitation, he stopped, put his bike down, and began picking up the litter piece by piece, carrying each item to the bin.

Seeing Isaac’s initiative, I decided to join him. As we worked side by side and chatted, Isaac shared that he simply wanted to help fix the mess he had seen. Soon, others noticed and, one by one, joined in. By the end, a team of 11 students and staff had come together, and the oval was spotless within half an hour.

This was a wonderful and practical demonstration of our school values: respect, care, and community.

Well done to Isaac and to every student who joined in – we are incredibly proud of you and grateful for your efforts.
