Woodend Musical 2026 EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
Seussical Jr

Dear families/caregivers,

Following a second successful musical this year, in 2026, years 4-6 students have the exciting opportunity to be a part of a musical as part of an extra-curricular program. At this stage, we are gauging expressions of interest from students and families. We will perform “Seussical Jr” in term 2, week 8; Friday evening and Saturday afternoon (19th and 20th June), and week 9; Friday evening and Saturday evening (26th and 27th June). Students will be involved in 2 dress rehearsals for school and 4 community performances where tickets will be available to purchase.

Rehearsals will be after school on Thursdays until 5pm. Please note there will be 3 compulsory Sunday/Public Holiday Monday practice days in Term 1 and 2 (29th March, 8th June and 14th June). 

Week 6 and 7, Term 4 2025, students will audition to be a part of this bright and playful musical. They can audition for a lead, supporting role or to be a part of the ensemble. Students will be singing, dancing and acting no matter their role. After auditions, if successful, students/parents will receive a contract stating their commitments/support.

Those who complete the expressions of interest google form will be added to a seesaw group so students will have the material needed to practice ready for auditions. If your child is ready to dance, sing and act to music then let us know!

The cost to participate in this musical will be approximately $100. This is to cover costs; for example: copyright, staging, sound, lighting, scripts, music, recordings, costumes, makeup etc.
