Do you have any rocks? SRC are seeking donations.

by | Sep 28, 2023

Dear Families,

This year SRC is working on an area of the oval to improve our school. We have chosen to plant a native pollinator garden that can be accessed by the community for people to discover, play and learn.

As a part of this project we have asked the school if they think it it is a good idea to get all students to paint a rock to include in the ‘creek’ area. We are seeking donations of rocks that children could paint to be included in this area. We recommend flat rocks about the size of the palm of your hand. This will make it easier to paint on.

Please collect any spare rocks from your yard over the holidays. We will have a drop off spot outside the garden in Week 1 of next term.

Thank you for considering this.

Below are some photos of our project so far.

Kind regards SRC Team

Thank you to Rob and Bunnings at Reynella for helping our SRC Leaders to build the garden beds.

We are grateful to Kate and Green Adelaide for their support with our project.

SRC worked with Mrs Gregory, Ms Humphrys and Dylan to plant the area.

Our SRC members are learning how to help younger classes to learn in this space.Â
