We know money is tight for many families this year and therefore we really do want to thank you for your efforts at home, in the neighbourhood and at the workplace, to contribute for the benefit of others. We most wanted a team effort and that was always going to be more important than the amount anyone raised. Some, however, got really passionate about the dollars and we love that too! Our school community effort resulted in a grand total of $6530.
The funds will be used for exciting new technologies which will support students being more creative and more likely to explore and innovate. That will be beneficial of all students.
A big thank you to teachers and students in Rooms 17, 18 and 25 for their efforts in organising this fundraiser. We particularly want to acknowledge the leadership of Cathie Luke, Jarrod Lamshed and Jane-Ann for the way they worked with their classes to make this happen.
Yesterday was the culmination of our major school fundraiser, the Codeathon. The Codeathon organising committee consisting of Josh, Jake, Trent, Lachlan, Katie, Angus, Tia, Lilia, Ella, and Braidon from Rooms 17, 18 and 25 facilitated a Codeathon Assembly to recognise the efforts of our students in raising much needed money for our new Studio. One student, Caleb, from Room 21 was recognised with the major prize – a SHPERO: SPRK for raising a total of $400! Thank you Caleb! We held a raffle draw and around 130 prizes were shared amongst a great many students. These prizes were donated by generous local companies listed below. We would like to thank the following companies:
- Woolworths
- Games World
- Game Traders
- Muffin Break
- Mcdonalds
- Funworks Lolly Shop
- AMF Bowling
- Max Mix
- Intensity
- Event Cinema
We also thank the families who kindly donated prizes for our raffle draw.
