Woodend Primary School OSHC is a service provided by Woodend Primary School Governing Council. We are seeking a Director for a one-year contract to work a minimum of 30 hours in our After School Service, Pupil Free Days and Vacation Care Program. The successful applicant will have excellent knowledge of the National Quality Framework, financial management, administration, child learning documentation, weekly programming and be able to lead the overall education program offered by the service.
30 hours per week, including administration time (hours and working days may be negotiable)
Commencement date: May 2022 (starting date negotiable)
Term of Employment: 12 month contract, with the possibility of extension (subject to 3 month probationary period)
Desirable knowledge & experience
- Provide quality care to meet the individual and group needs of preschool and school aged children in a respectful, supportive, equitable and inclusive manner
- Develop and implement a vibrant, varied and appropriate program that meets the ongoing needs of the children
- Provide Pedagogical Leadership and management of all OSHC employees
- Provide sound leadership, operational and financial management of the service
- Develop partnerships with families and the school community
- General administration functions that include ensuring licensing, statutory and quality assurance standards are met and that regular communication with the Principal or nominee occurs to address the day to day issues and management of the service
- Uphold the philosophy, policies and procedures of the service
- Take responsibility for the welfare of children and staff
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or degree level qualification as approved by ACECQA
- First Aid Qualification (minimum HLTAID004)
- Current Responding to Abuse and Neglect training (RRHAN-EC)
- Current Working With Children Check
- You must be an Australian Citizen or be able to demonstrate a right to work in Australia to apply for this position
Special Conditions
Attendance at out of hours meetings, trainings and service functions as negotiated with Line Manager.
The successful candidate must be able to meet the Department for Education pre-employment requirement relating to working on a school site. This is a one year contract, with the possibility of extension. There will be a three month probation period.
